2023 Calendar Fundraiser
During the winter break, we led art lessons for fourth-grade Daniel School students with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Upon completing the classes, Minju designed a 2023 calendar showcasing 13 of the students' artwork and successfully raised $4,300 through calendar sales. The entire revenue generated were donated to Daniel School.
The calendar mainly consists of portraits of the students. By drawing their peer's faces, the students at Daniel School can help strengthen their facial recognition and social skills.
Another element we included in the calendar is the rabbit. Following the lunar calendar, 2023 is the year of the rabbit. As such, we included tactile play activities in our curriculum to create a rabbit shape out of different beans and clay.
